Avornia is an online fashion store for Australia. The thinking behind it isn't complicated: clothes should outlast the trend that sold them to you, and they shouldn't cost a fortune. So we buy for cut and fabric first, keep the range small enough to actually think about, and price it so that dressing well isn't a once-a-year decision.

How we choose

We're not trying to cover every trend, and we're not pretending to. Most of what we stock is the kind of thing you wear far more often than you expected to: a dress that handles a wedding on Saturday and lunch on Sunday, shoes that work with what's already in your wardrobe, a set you can split up and wear as separates. If a piece only earns its place on one occasion, we usually leave it behind.

What we stock

At the moment that means dresses in midi and maxi lengths, shoes for women and men, two piece sets, jumpsuits and polos. The range grows season by season instead of arriving all at once, so the list is shorter than you might expect from an online store. That's on purpose. We would rather stock a handful of dresses we would wear ourselves than fifty we wouldn't.

The practical bits

Delivery is free anywhere in Australia. No minimum spend, nothing quietly added at checkout. If something isn't right when it arrives, you have 30 days from delivery to send it back. Email us and a person reads it, usually the same or next business day.
